Day 10 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

Day 10 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the most messed up things with.

This is another roommate I had in college.  This is Kristi...  ahhh....  the things we've done!  We were weirdos, to put it nicely.  I had a hard time picking out pictures but this is a good one.  We've been skiing, played pool, collected cans off the highways of Oregon so we could fly home for Thanksgiving. She taught me how to make amazing chicken enchiladas...  I digress...  She moved to New York City last summer.  Can't wait to go visit her there!

Day 9 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most.

I hope she doesn't mind, but I stole a Facebook picture.  This is Shauna.  She is one of my besties, and she lives a state away so she gets to hear all my crap, mostly because... who is she gonna tell?!?!?  It's nice to have an outlet, and hope that she doesn't mind!  She is absolutely FABULOUS!

I would also like to add Curt to this category.  He has really helped me the past couple years deal with so much stuff.  I've had to bounce ideas off him like crazy.  I'm sure his brain hurts some times from me jabbering at him, but that's what he signed up for!

DAY 8 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

May 28, 2012
Day 8 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.

I ALWAYS can get a laugh at this picture.  These are my kids, 6 years ago, at Halloween.  Every year, I let the kids choose what they want to be for Halloween and I do my best to make sure they can do that.  Well...  my children are pretty darn creative, and Ethan wanted to be Colonel Sanders from Kentucky Fried Chicken.  Originally, he wanted to be riding a chicken, but we just could not get that to work.  His outfit was a pain in the neck to make.  I went to 2nd hand stores and had to buy adult sized clothes (for a very small 10 year old) and altered them all to fit him and this is what we got.  And we sprayed his hair white and glued... YES, glued...  cotton balls to his upper lip and chin.  He won a $30 first place prize for it too.
Briyanna wanted to be a Christmas present...  odd!  Brenna was Alice in Wonderland and Berlyn was Minnie Mouse (both made by me).  And true to my fashion...  I did it all the night night before Halloween.

Day 7 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

May 27, 2012
Day 7 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item.

So... this might be a little strange, but my most precious item is a guitar pick that I got at a concert when I was going into the 10th grade so...  1991.  I LOVE the group Nelson:
They were throwing out picks at their concert and seriously, I crawled, scratched and clawed my way to that stinkin' pick.  And I have kept it in my jewelery box every since.  Well...  a couple years ago, it went missing and I was pretty darn upset.  I knew a kid had taken it out and decided that it was ok to play with.  I had this washing machine with a serious mechanical flaw.  It would get plugged up and I had to take off the front cover and pull out the drain catch.  And lo and behold, there was the pick that I thought was missing forever!  And then, I had a serious talk with my children about, this is my stuff, don't touch it or you will die!  Of course...  that talk didn't work on most of my stuff, but they don't touch the guitar pick anymore!

Day 6 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

Day 6 of the 60 Day Photo Challenge

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

This is a....  I don't know ... an 8th cousin?  Maybe I should figure that out some day.  I thought and thought about this one.  There really is no one that is "current" that I would like to trade places with.  I am perfectly content with my life really.  So this is a relative from the 1840's ish.  Her name is Catherine Sager (my mom's maiden name was Sager).  You can actually google her and get her story.  She and her family left Missouri on the Oregon Trail when she was 9, she fell out of the wagon and broke her leg, a baby girl was born, BOTH her parents died, and when they arrived in the northwest, they lived with missionaries and they and her brothers were massacred by indians.  So....  while she lived a life of tragedy, I find her life (and all of her siblings, several of them) fascinating.  And it's trade in lives with for a DAY.  I think you can read this and know which days I would not want to trade with!
The whole Sager family when they set out on the Oregon Trail:

So serious....

Day 05 - A picture of one of your favorite memories.

This was a really tough picture to pick out.  I have tons a fabulous memories.  So I decided to go with my most recent favorite moment.  This is Curt and I at the Grand Canyon this March when we went to Las Vegas.  The entire trip was an absolute blast, but I particularly loved the Grand Canyon (except the part when I ovulated on the way home).  The Grand Canyon has always been on the top of my list as place I really wanted to visit.   I finally got to visit it with one of my most favorite people in the world!

OMG!!!!  Curt hit a brand new low (yesterday and today)!!!  AND... tomorrow, he's going to hit a MAJOR goal, but I'll wait til he hits it!  But seriously, I'm freakin' proud of him.  He has lost 70 lbs. since August and since we got together, he's down 125 lbs!

Once again, we've had a good food day.  No exercise.  We need to get back into exercising tho.  I find that I'm not tempted to drink alcohol when I exercise.  Mentally, I think about it and don't want to undo what I did by drinking alcohol.

Here's a before and after pictures:

Day 4 of the 60 day photo challenge
Day 04 - A picture of your night

This is what you might called organized chaos.  This is a typical night for us.  Curt works from home for the local phone company..  3:00pm- 11:30pm.  I tend to like to be around the guy so I hang up here most nights.  And since I have started sewing full time again, I choose to work when he works.  So his work area is on the left, mine is on the right.  Or...  I might just hang out and watch TV or play xbox in the chair in the foreground that is barely visible.  I'm really embarrassed at how messy it is, but...  this is my night!

Day 3 of the 60 day photo challenge

May 23, 2012
Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show.

This is going to seem really weird.  I'm not a polygamist, I'm not even Mormon.  In fact, I'm very right-winged Baptist, but omg...  I love this show!  I find it so fascinating to watch.  I love seeing how other people and cultures live.  I would love to meet these people and sit down and have a long, non-judgemental conversation.  Someday.
