CURT:  TOTAL LOSS: 59.4 lbs
              31.4 lbs toward goal (6/25/12)
JAMIE: TOTAL LOSS: 18.2 lbs
              17.0 lbs toward goal (6/25/12)

We have behaved quite well today as far as food goes.  We even attempted to work out today.  We bought ourselves bikes today.  Our thought on this is to use bikes to do our everyday errands (short of picking up kids from school).  We took them out for a rather ambitious ride to the grocery store, about 3 miles away.  Well...  It was a fantastic thought!  I blew out both of my tires, thank you, goat heads.  And Curt needs to tighten his up all the way around.  His handle bars were all over the place.  So here we are, over 2 miles from homes, walking our bikes home.  We got a ride home half way there.  It was brutal, very hot and sunny.  I got a pretty fair amount of sun today.  Tomorrow we're going to fix them up and try again.

We fell off the band wagon last week.  I will be honest.  It's all my fault.  I let the stress of everything wear me down, over and over.  I had to just relax and get over things.  I'm not over things, but I'm dealing with them differently.  On the bright side of all of this stuff going on with Ethan, he had his district meet and qualified for state in the 110 hurdles and the 800 (1/2 mile).  He is AMAZING.  He literally sprints the entire 1/2 mile and BLOWS MY FREAKIN' MIND!  I love watching him run and can't wait to see what he does when he's a senior.

We've set new goals.  We're leaving for Virginia in 42 days, exactly 6 weeks from today.  So you can see our goals we've set and to meet these, we're going to have to follow this diet to a "T" and work out consistently.  I think that they are both attainable.  And we kinda have an advantage with the first couple pounds because they are our splurge pounds.  We'll see...

  1. sorry, had a little chuckle at the image of both your bikes exploding!! stress kinda makes you give up and use it as an excuse to eat or smoke or whatever we're not supposed to be doing. the hard part is stopping yourself when something bad happens. But to be honest, you've had some crap times lately so if anything, you've done well! now you have a goal to work to! good luck! :)

  2. Considering the stress of your life you are doing so amazingly, getting back on the wagon. It's so difficult to get back into routines.

Good luck attaining your goals, you can do it!
